Mrs Hicks and Mrs Smith welcome you back to Robins’ Class for Term 6
We are continuing to promote independence and creativity. Our topic for this term will be Harry and his Bucketful of Dinosaurs.
PE will be every Monday afternoon.
The programme for maths will cover measuring in cm and meters, weighing and measuring.
Counting in multiples of 2, 5, 10, and 100.
Recognising and naming 2d and 3d shapes.
Doubling and halving.
Literacy will focus on non-chronological reports and caption writing.
Science will be covering animals focussing on dinosaurs.
Geography/History will concentrate on dinosaurs, when and where they lived, how they survived and how they were wiped out. We will also relate dinosaurs to present day animals and birds, looking at similarities and descendants.
Art/ DT will look at line drawing and making fossils.
RE – What do Christians believe God is like?
PHSE – Staying healthy.
This will be a very busy term and hopefully with better weather more activities outside and lessons in the outdoor learning hub. We also have our school trip to Wingham Wildlife Park, hunting dinosaurs, on 26th June 2018.
